Louise Heit-Radwell, Teaching Artist
Louise Heit is a dance artist/educator/choreographer working in dance, theater, movement theater and puppetry. Her choreography has been seen throughout NYC and she has toured nationally and internationally. As an educator, Louise has been teaching creative dance to children and adults for Together in Dance since 2007. She has also taught and led professional development workshops for NYC Department of Education, Lincoln Center Education, 92Y Educational Outreach, DanceWave, Marquis Studios, Ballet Hispanico, the Becket Arts Center, among other places. Louise has received several SuCasa grants from the Brooklyn Arts Council to teach her workshops in creative modern dance for older adults. Recently she led a panel at the Arts Education Roundtable Face to Face conference titled, Dance and Creative Aging: the lifelong artistry and benefits of dance. She holds a MA from the Laban Centre for Movement and Dance in London, a CMA (Certified Movement Analyst) in NYC, BFA in dance and theater from NYU and a certificate from the Dance Education Laboratory at the 92Y and from Mark Morris Dance for PD (Parkinson Disease).
